Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient, scalable backend systems that power Pinterest's user-generated content platform. You will collaborate with a team of engineers, data scientists, and product managers to enhance our platform's capabilities and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to implement new features.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of our backend systems.
• Work on optimizing database queries and improving the overall performance of our applications.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to our codebase.
• Stay updated with the latest backend technologies and apply them to our projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in backend development, particularly with Python.
• Experience with AI technologies, machine learning, or natural language processing is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and serverless architecture.
• Experience with database technology such as SQL, NoSQL, and Data Warehousing.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
